Privacy Policy

This website, almapatino.com, and the Alma Patino Realtor iPhone app are operated by Alma Patino, a real estate sales agent sponsored by ClearView Realty, LLC, 12247 Rojas Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect. When you send a message through a form, we collect the name, phone number, email address, and message you provide, the page you were on, your language, your time zone, your IP address, and the text of the consent you agreed to. We keep that consent record because Texas and federal law require proof of consent before we call or text you.

How we use it. To respond to your request, to call or email you about El Paso real estate at the number and address you gave us, to text you when you have agreed to texts, and to keep records the Texas Real Estate Commission and our broker require. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone except the broker, service providers that host this site and deliver messages, and as required by law.

Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and reports visits, pages read, approximate country and device type. It does not identify you to us and we do not use it for advertising. The site also keeps its own count of page views on its own server, with no cookies and nothing that identifies anyone, and that count honours a Do Not Track signal. Accounts. If you create a free account, we also keep the homes you save, the searches you save, the homes you open while signed in, and the answers you give about what you are looking for, so Alma can send you homes that fit. Signing in uses a one time code sent to your email and a single cookie that keeps you signed in. We never ask for a password.

The iPhone app. The app works with the same account as this website. Browsing homes needs no account. If you allow location, your phone's location is sent with a search only to sort homes by distance; it is not saved. If you allow notifications, we keep your phone's push token to send alerts you asked for (new homes for your saved searches, price and status changes on homes you saved, open houses on homes you saved, and messages from Alma), no more than a few a day and not at night. Messages you write to Alma in the app are kept with your account. Face ID, if you turn it on, stays on your phone; we never see it. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app under Account, Delete my account.

Emails. If you give us your email we may send you messages about your request, homes that match your search, and occasional follow-up notes. Every one of those emails has a link that stops them in one click, and replying with the word STOP does the same. Some replies are drafted with the help of software, including artificial intelligence, and Alma reads the conversations. Software never decides who is shown or offered a home.

Text messages. We text you only if you checked the box agreeing to text messages, or if you texted us first. Messages are of three kinds: customer care (replies to your questions and showing or call scheduling), account notifications (alerts for your saved home search and your home value report), and marketing (new listings, open houses and real estate updates). Some texts are automated. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Mobile information and text message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Cookies and analytics. This site uses only the technical cookies and storage needed to function. See the Cookies page.
